How can I get hold of GemX software applications?

A: All GemX software can be freely downloaded. Use the Download menu to go to the relevant products download page.

If wish to purchase a GemX product, use the relevant products Purchase page. When your purchase has been confirmed, a special email will be sent to you containing information about obtaining fully registered version of the purchased application. Follow the instructions given to you in the email, DO NOT download the trial version from GemX website and try to enter registration numbers.

How can I pay for GemX software?

A: GemX uses a secure server to handle online payments. We accept Mastercard, Eurocard, VISA, Delta, JCB, Switch, Solo, Discover, American Express, Diner's Club, International Money Order, Bank wire, PayPal and Beenz. Plenty of options to choose from.

How long does it take to get my purchased software?

A: Normally within 4 working office hours of your cleared payment. We would then send you a special email with registration details and how to download your software. Note our time difference. We are based in the Netherlands so the timezone is GMT+1 hour.

Can I get the software on a CD-ROM?

A: Of course you can. However you will need to add an extra $10 to cover the cost of the CD-ROM, postage and packing.

Does GemX offer any demos or trial applications?

A: Yes. All GemX applications have a fully functional trial version. They are available for direct download from GemX website and various download websites. The free software GemX offers is fully functional with no limitations and no time limit as and where applicable

Does GemX offers Academic Versions and discounts?

A: Please see the purchase pages to see all the available versions. If you don't see price or option for academic purchase next to the prices then it's not available at this time.

How do I enter the license key on my purchased GemX software application?

A: You can not. Once you purchase a GemX software application a special email will be sent to you containing information about obtaining fully registered version of the purchased application. There are no option to enter any registration or license key directly into GemX applications. All purchased applications are registered to purchaser by GemX which is not visible. We operate in this way to prevent piracy. When we found any illegal copies of GemX software on pirate sites or forums we can trace it back to it's original owner.

What is your upgrade policy and pricing?

A: GemX provides two types of upgrades for it's software applications.

Minor upgrades: are released between major versions. For example, TexNotes v3.5 is a minor version while TexNotes v4.1 would be major version. Minor upgrades are totally free for registered users of the corresponding major version users. For instance, if you have registered [bought] TexNotes v3.0 you can use the Minor upgrades section to download all available versions up to, but not including, TexNotes v4.

Major upgrades: For example, if you are upgrading from TexNotes v2.x to version v3.6, you need to use the TexNotes Major upgrades section. Major upgrades are not free. However, we keep the Major upgrade fee to a minimum.

What is your support policy?

A: GemX provides application lifetime free support to it's all registered users. Please note, not all unregistered users [trial application users] support inquires are answered. Registered users questions and support inquiries always take priority.

What's your refund policy?

A: GemX offers it's fully functional trial software applications for free downloads so that you can evaluate it's suitability for your needs without any commitment. You can use them without any restriction for 60 days. You would only purchase any GemX software application if you are satisfied with it. Therefore we do not offer refund or money back.

What is your policy against software piracy?

A: GemX practice a very strict system of checking on GemX web site as well as other pirate software forums and websites. Any pirated and hacked copies of GemX software found will be dealt with severely to the maximum limits of applicable international local laws.

Can I sell GemX software applications?

A: We operate reseller and direct seller systems. All applications are dealt with on a case by case basis. Please see our "
Resellers" section for more information.

Do you license GemX applications code?

A: No, we do not.

How do I become a beta tester for GemX applications?

A: We welcome all committed beta test applicants. Please see our "
Beta Testing" section for more information.

I have a suggestion....?

A: Great. Please send all your
suggestions and feedback in respect to GemX software applications.

I have discovered a bug. How do I send the bug report?

A: Send it to:

Please ensure to include the necessary information in your email for us to deal with your support inquiry promptly. Emails such as: "This program doesn't run on my computer properly." may not get any response.

Please state in your support email:

  • Application name [preferably on the subject line]
  • Operating System you are using the software on.
    Just stating "Windows" is not sufficient enough. Use, for example: "Windows XP SP2" etc.
  • Your basic system specification
    Such as memory size, hard disk space
  • .
  • Explanation of the problem
    Don't write "It won't work". Please explain in more detail. eg: "After clicking on Button A in the My Details window, my screen turned upside down."

    It is important to know how we can replicate the problem, so please give us instructions on how the problem can be reproduced. If we cannot replicate the problem, then it is unlikely that we can fix it

A: No problem. We will provide a new download of your registered application. Please provide the following information:
