Creating and Using Templates

Templates are extremely useful for repetitive document creation. You can create standard business stationary such as letterheads, fax layouts, and many other frequently-used documents just once, rather than creating them again and again.

It is best to create Templates as separate Notes or Sub Notes to make them easy to adapt, so they can be used by real life individuals or companies. Consequently, a new Sub Note under Templates has been created. See the fax template sample for more information about its creation.

Letter, Invoice, and Contact Card templates are also provided. They are suitable to use externally, but can also be used within your notes. If you needed to enter a person's contact details in this file, for example, you could simply type them in.

Alternatively, use the templates provided through Insert Template Into Note on the Insert menu.

This Contact Card template can be used in any Note or file as it has been saved as a TexNotes Pro template.
All such templates are stored in the folder named:
Program Files\GemX\TexNotesPro\Templates (default). For fast access, save all your templates into this folder or a subfolder. If you save to different locations or drives, you can still access them by using Insert Template from a File from the Insert menu. Alternatively, use TexNotes Pro Explorer to locate the relevant folder and drag templates directly into your Note.
