Ruler

Some users like to always have the ruler displayed, while others prefer to maximize their available workspace. As ever with TextNotes Pro, the choice is yours and it's very easy to make such adjustments on-the-fly or as part of your normal setup. Strictly speaking, the ruler at the top of the Note canvas is called the Notes Editor Ruler Bar.

The easiest way to suppress display of the ruler is to right-click on it, and select Hide Ruler.

You'll notice that you can use a variety of units for the ruler scale.
If you're not sure which to pick, try using those that match your Windows system's default units.
Inches to match the Imperial or USA standard, Centimeters or Millimeters if you use Metric.

Picas are a unit of type size, equal to 12 points or about 1/6 of an inch.

A Pixel is the smallest discrete component of an image on a CRT screen (usually a colored dot). The greater the number of pixels per inch, the greater the resolution.

Points are a unit of type size equal to 0.01384 inch, or approximately 1/72 of an inch.

The quickest way to re-display the ruler is to select Show Rulers from the View menu.

Drawing Ruler Bar

The Drawing Ruler Bar is only visible when you add a drawing as a Note in Navigator Outline.
Both vertical and horizontal rulers are displayed.

Maximizing the Workspace

When you are working on a Note, you can dramatically increase the virtual size of the canvas by hiding Navigator Outline. Simply click the button on the StatusBar Tools toolbar to do this.

You can also use the standard Maximise Window button , and the Expand Window button, to make the main window bigger.

Window Size in the Window menu allows you to match the size of the TexNotes Pro main window to your screen.
