Quick Access to Resources

Need a graphic to insert into your Notes quickly?
Do you want to locate and keep on site your TexNotes Pro files?
Use the handy TexNotes Pro Explorer to find what you are looking for quickly. In essence, the TexNotes Pro Explorer is a fast, flexible, file browser.

Using the Explorer

The Explorer is situated on the Navigator panel (default). It can also be accessed from the Tools menu, or the button on the right of the status bar .

The TexNotes Pro Explorer consists of two panels. The top panel displays folders, and the bottom panel the files. It can display and sort all popular image formats.

It's often quicker and more convenient to view files using the TexNotes Pro Explorer rather than Windows Explorer.

You can also use it to locate TexNotes Pro files. You can then open a TexNotes Pro file instantly within the same window, or in a new TexNotes Pro window, by double-clicking the file.

If the Explorer tab isn't visible in the Navigator panel, click the small black triangle at the top right of the Navigator Title bar, and select Explorer from the drop-down list.

The Explorer panel looks like this:

The Explorer tab is not visible in this view, because the panel width is adjusted to produce a more compact illustration.

The Explorer panel is divided into four sections:

  1. Drop-down folder list of your entire computer.

Use this list to display the contents of any folder on your computer. When you click on any folder in this list, the File Window will immediately display the files in that folder.

  1. Home folder (root) window.

The Home Folder is always displayed here, along with all its subfolders. When you click any folder in this list, the File Window immediately displays the files in that folder.

  1. File window.

This window lists files in the currently selected folder. The current folder is always highlighted in either the global Folder List or the Home Folder window.

If you only want to see certain types of files, use the Filter List to select a particular file type (graphics, TexNotes, etc.). All non-matching file types are hidden.

  1. Drop-down filter list.

The Filter List provides many choices of commonly-used file types so you can instantly restrict the file display to just those files you're interested in.
