Changing Outline Icons

You can easily change any of the icons used to represent Notebooks and Notes in Outline. The Registered version of TexNotes Pro includes a large collection of icons.

You can customize any icons used in the Outline by simply selecting alternatives from the built-in collection stored as files on your disk, or from additional icon libraries.

This shows the Outline with some default icons:

Right-click the Drawing item and click Change Icon from the popup menu. This displays a panel:

You can select one of the displayed icons, or one of the two options at the top.

Choose Icon from Library to open a large library of additional icons. All these are categorized to help you quickly find an appropriate icon. Just navigate through the folders in the left pane, and click to select an icon in the right pane. Then click OK to make the change.

Create Icon from File opens a file dialog box where you can navigate to an icon saved on your disk as an *.ico file. If the icon is bigger than 16x16 pixels, TexNotes Pro automatically resizes it.

Note 1: You can use the Customize Outline Display button in the Navigator toolbar to quickly access all Navigator customization options. (You may have to click More Buttons to see the Customize Outline Display button.)

Note 2: This page has been formatted and colored to illustrate the impact of some simple layout options. Page background coloring, paragraph background coloring with padding, and paragraph indentation, are used to create these effects.
