Inserting Annotations into Notes
Annotation is one of TexNotes Pro's most popular features.
This allows you to add extra information to your document as you are writing. Typically, these are things that are relevant, but just don't fit in the current paragraph. If you add them in brackets, it destroys the flow of your text.
They are also used for citations and footnotes. This is a huge improvement over the traditional method of putting special markers in parentheses, and adding notes at the bottom of the page or at the end of the document.

Using Annotations |
An Annotation is a Secret Compartment in the normal flow of text. It appears as a small icon that can contain as much text as you like.
To view the contents of an Annotation, just hover the mouse pointer over the icon, and the first few lines of its text appear in a "bubble".

To edit the contents of an Annotation, just click the icon. An editing window pops up, and you can type more text into the Annotation editor.

Try it with the annotation a few paragraphs above.
You can leave several editors open, and position them anywhere on the screen, so you can accumulate notes in them as you work elsewhere in the TexNotes document, or in other programs. In fact, you can minimize the TexNotes application and the Annotation editors will remain on screen until you close them.
If you "lose" a moved editor window:
The pop-up "speech balloon" won't appear if the Annotation editor is already open somewhere on the screen. Since the editor windows always stay on top of everything else on screen, they will be easy to find when working with multiple applications. If you can't find the editor window, just click the Annotation icon again to close the window, and a second click will open it in alongside the icon.

Annotations are only available in Advanced mode. Remember that you can switch modes at any time without affecting your work.
You can insert an annotation by using the Insert menu, right-clicking on the canvas, or clicking the button on the Insert Toolbar. (You can usually find this at bottom of the canvas area.)
Use Annotation to add extra comments and data anywhere in a Note. Annotations are represented by special markers. Hover the cursor over a marker to see the text it contains, and double-click to edit them. Right-click the icon to select a different icon type.

Data Collection |
The Annotation window can be resized and moved around the screen, even if TexNotes Pro is minimized. This is great for collecting data while surfing the web, or for extracting data from other applications.
