StickyDo
New in do-Organizer is a very useful tool named "StickyDo" for those quick notes and for sending little or big messages over your Local Area Network (LAN) to your colleagues and friends. Needless to say, to be able to send notes over the network you computer must be connected to or part of a network.

StickyDo runs in its own window. This mean you don't have to run other sections of do-Organizer to use the StickyDo. Use your do-Organizer central access point, the "MiniBar" to run it. Use drop-down menu on the MiniBar ingeniously named "Menu", then select the "Create New StickyDo Note" command to launch StickyDo.
The default view is a simple one with just one tool-bar for simplicity, but you can customize it to show more by right-clicking on the main tool-bar and selecting "Show Tool-bars".

If you are going to write in rich-text format you will have to turn it on in using the "Font Format" tool-bar. Alternatively use the right-click menu.
Entering and editing text and images on the StickyDo canvas is done exactly the same way as in "Scribe". If you need further info please see the relevant topics in the "Scribe" section.
At its most basic, simply enter the text, format, add images a smiley as needed and send to others over the network or save it for future reference.
You can use StickyDo not just for sending sticky notes over the network but also for quick note taking and the creation of various templates. See "Creating a Template" topic.

When you want to use StickyDo to send and receive notes over the network, you have to do a little setup. I am assuming your computer is part of a network, if not then you can't use StickyDo for sending notes to others.
If you want to receive StickyDo from others first thing you should make sure receipt of notes via network is enabled.
On the main tool-bar of do-Organizer you will see one of these icons:
It's a toggle command shortcut icon, which means only one of them is visible at any one time to indicate its status. Like the buttons in most appliances. You press to turn it on and press again to turn it off . If you see the green button, this means when others using StickyDo and compatible applications send you notes over the network you can receive them. If you don't want to receive any StickyDo notes over the network, click on the green ball icon to block them. Now the icon should change into a red ball that looks like a no-entry traffic sign
.
All done and sorted, now let's create a sticky and send some cheerful note. Write and format the note on the StickyDo canvas. Click on the send icon
on the main tool-bar of StickyDo above the editor, or Right-Click on the note and choose from the drop-down "Send Note over Network" command. Now you should see the "Send Network Note" dialog window:

All you need to do here is to enter the details as appropriate. Details of Receiver is the name of his/her computer or their actual IP number. You need to obtain this info from your recipient.
The "Send to Port Number" field is set to send and receive in most TCP/IP network systems. If the default port number [51673] doesn't work then your network settings may be different. In such a situation you need to ask your network administrator for the applicable port number.
You may want to click on "Test It" after entering the recipients address to see if the computer is accessible on the network.
Just on the left of the "Send to Port Number" label, a drop-down menu with an icon
to choose a recipient. Each time you send a StickyDo to someone successfully, their connection details are kept in the history so that you don't have to set them up. You just add a title, select the format type and send. On the same drop-down, you will see another command "Choose from Contacts...". Using this option is a much better method than depending on the history list. Use the Contacts section and add network addresses to your relevant contact details. The Network address field is on the Contact Details edit window. You can add a contact with just a name and a network address. If you have contacts with a network address in do-Organizer contacts you can insert their network address detail in the above mentioned window (Send Network Note) easily. You just click on the "Choose from Contacts..." command, a new window will pop-up almost a duplicate of your contacts section, for you to choose the contact with their network connection details.
I have already pointed out the above recipient must be running do-Organizer in order to receive the Sticky-Do Note. However, if the receiver doesn't have do-Organizer installed, then you can still send a StickyDo if the recipient is using "Stickies v5", which is another type of sticky notes application. Stickies v5 is a freeware application from Zhorn Software at the time of writing this guide. Again, for the recipient to receive the StickyDo in this case, the recipient must be running the "Stickies v5" application.

Managing Sticky-Do Note Documents
Sticky-Do Notes are saved to your local hard disk, so you can manage your individual notes and documents like a normal file. It is recommended to use the GemX Files Explorer because you get the added advantage of seeing the contents of the document. This will allow you to manage the documents much faster and more efficiently.

When do-Organizer is first installed, it sets up a default folder in the installation directory. This document folder is:
C:\Program Files\GemX\doOrganizer\Data Files\StickyDo Notes
However, you don't have to use this folder. When you want to save a Sticky-Do note, you'll get the opportunity to save the document to a different folder.
Any Notes received over the Network (LAN) is stored in:
C:\Program Files\GemX\doOrganizer\Data Files\StickyDo Notes\Received Notes
